So What IS Slatgrid, Anyway? What happens when you combine bulky slatwall with transportable gridwall? You get slatgrid, of course! Slatgrid comes in the same sizes as regular grid but is slightly more expensive due to the extra metal. It is as easy to install as gridwall and is also compatible with grid bases to make it freestanding. Slatgrid has an extra wire above each 'grid', which means that it can accommodate slatwall hooks, as well as gridwall hooks. And why is this handy? If you already have slatwall installed in your store, you probably have extra hardware that can be put to good use.
Why bother with grid OR slatgrid? Maybe you want to incorporate a different look in your store or you don't want to have to hire someone to install more slatwall or maybe you're looking at expanding to include a booth at one of our fine outdoor markets and are looking for something a bit more portable. Wonderful! But why buy a system that takes a completely different kind of hardware? Slatgrid costs a little more to buy at the onset but if you already have slatwall, then you know how easy it is to spend more on hardware than on the system to hang it. Still Not Convinced? Maybe you don't have slatwall or extra hardware, what then? Overall, new slatwall hardware is cheaper than new gridwall hardware (just don't ask us why because we haven't a clue). We stock new grid and slatwall hardware in black, white, and chrome. We also have scads of used slatwall hardware for sale in our warehouse but are often lacking in the more popular used grid hardware. This means that even if you do need to purchase hardware for your slatgrid, you can buy it used and save money AND the environment. Who can argue with that? |
