What We Read
A bunch of us here at PSF are big readers. And I’m not just talking about fixture catalogs either (though we do drool a little when a new vendor catalog comes in the mail). We like to read books and magazines and comics and the newspaper and books online and the backs of cereal boxes! It’s kind of awesome how much stuff we know.
We like to read. And we know that a lot of you like to read too, but who has the time to really think about finding something awesome to read? So here’s the Portland Store Fixtures Official Reading list.
Katie – Sense and Sensibility and Sea Monsters, and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
Stacey – the real Jane Austen and other late 18th and early 19th century British literature
Erin – The People’s History of the United States, Eat Pray Love, and There’s a (Slight) Chance I Might Be Going to Hell
Kelsey – currently Collapse by Jared Diamond, and The Omnivore’s Dilemma
Jamison – all kinds of pop-up books, and Everybody Poops
Eric – autobiographies. He just finished Honor Few, Fear None: The Life and Times of a Mongol
Dave – exclusively reads biker magazines
Penney – Michael Connelly, Harlen Cobin, and occasionally Jude Deveraux
Kat – Success Magazine, Ode Magazine, and ridiculous fiction
You don’t have to read this stuff, but if you do and you want to talk about it, come in. We’ll find the appropriate staff member who can discuss it because everyone needs a break. And we love to talk about stuff… anything really.
