So we took a poll to see where our staff likes to eat. Yes, we know this has nothing to do with store fixtures or recycling or opening a business, but a girl’s (and a guy’s) gotta eat. And you might as well eat places that are going to be yummy.

Kat and Penney, our bosses and owners of PSF, really like Lucca at NE 24th and Fremont. Lucca does the whole local organic thing, and Kat is a big fan. She is also a fan of Monsoon Thai (affectionately known as Soapy Thai because of the laundromat at the back of the building) on N Skidmore and Mississippi.

Paige, our HR guru, likes Iorio at SE 9th and Hawthorne for the best of Southern Italian cooking in the Pacific Northwest.

Katie, our chief-grand-poobah, loves the taco truck on the corner of SE Division and 7th. Their burritos are the size of your head.

Jamison, one of our warehouse guys extraordinairre, likes to eat with food in front of him… as opposed to in back of him. He also likes to eat sitting on a chair.

Eric, warehouse guy extraordinairre #2, likes TGI Fridays. And now I want Spinach Artichoke Dip… thanks.

Erin, our not-the-chief, has lots of favorites – Bar Carlo on SE 65th and Foster, My Thai Bistro on SE 35th and Hawthrone, Sushi N Maki on 82nd almost in Clackamas, and the Amor Lounge at SE 62nd and Foster. Clearly, Erin likes food.

Stacey, one of our sales staff, and Angelique, our builder, really love Por Que No on Hawthorne. Stacey also likes East Burn, appropriately on East Burnside, because they have a fabulous polenta dish while Angelique loves the Montage on SE Morrison for it’s good food, good drinks, and good atmosphere.

Joan, the store fixtures fairy, is all about the Mediterranean because she likes to eat at Hoda’s at SE 34th and Belmont, and at Nicholas on Grand.

It seems our staff is as varied as our fixtures. Maybe that’s why they keep us around. Let us know if there are places you love that we haven’t tried yet. We love a good suggestion.
