A huge thank you to everyone who answered our call to donate to PDX Summer School! With your help, we were able to raise $465, which we then matched for a total of $930.

In case you haven’t heard, PDX Summer School is a program to tutor low-income English Language Learner students in SE Portland.

I’m sure we all remember the weeks spent in review at the beginning of every school year. Now imagine trying to remember a language that you might not have heard spoken all summer – talk about a learning curve!

Thanks to generous community support and many volunteers, PDX Summer School will be able to help 32 students this summer to improve their language skills and get a head start on catching up with other students in their grade level. We’re proud to be able to help.

A special thank you goes out to our good friends at Key Bank, who donated $3200 to the program.
